Success with ADD/ADHD

Today I went to a meeting about succeeding in school with ADD/ADHD. This group aims towards students with ADD/ADHD, but anyone can benefit from this talk. We learned about how students may suffer from “time blindness,” which is the inability to accurately predict the amount of time that has passed. We learned how setting a timer may help with time blindness. We also learned about tips to doing homework, such as starting the hard stuff first so our “concentration battery” doesn’t run out, or starting the easy stuff first to keep us motivated. We also learned about how it can be helpful to have a schedule, but it is important not to over schedule because we want to leave room for things that may spontaneously occur. There will be another meeting next week Tuesday 12-1 pm in 223 Royce for anyone considering attending.
